Rangers<\/a> host Celtic<\/a> in the first instalment of a league and Scottish Cup double header and the stakes couldn’t be higher.<\/p>\n After both dropped points at the weekend following Hearts’ win over Falkirk on Sunday, the loser could see their title hopes fatally harmed.<\/p>\n A draw would suit Derek McInnes and his players down to the ground, provided they take care of business against his former club Aberdeen on Saturday.<\/p>\n Whoever takes charge of this one is under scrutiny, but that will be ramped up this week following controversial calls in both games last Sunday.<\/p>\n Bojan Miovski of Rangers battles for the ball with Liam Scales of Celtic<\/p>\n Celtic had Auston Trusty sent off for violent conduct after a VAR review<\/a>, before Liam Scales looked to be denied a penalty immediately afterwards.<\/p>\n At Livingston, Mikey Moore was wiped out while taking a shot deep into stoppage time, but neither Ryan Lee nor VAR thought it was even a foul, never mind a red card for Cammy Kerr.<\/p>\n Beaton is the man charged with keeping a lid on things between the big two.
