“️Our second son “King Daryl Carney” born February 22, 2026 at 4.50pm on the Gold Coast.

“King. A name which denotes strength, confidence and leadership. May you always stand tall in who you are, lead with love, and know how deeply you are cherished.

“You, along with your sister and brother, are our entire world, little King. There won’t be a single day when we aren’t endlessly thankful to have been blessed with you all. xxxx.”

They were inundated with well wishes and messages of congratulations.

Carney’s good friend and former NRL player Mitchell Pearce commented: “Legends congrats”, while Gold Coast Titans star AJ Brimson wrote: “The man! Congrats xx.”

But some of their followers did point out that the name King may not be allowed to be legally registered in Australia.

“Hey beautiful, I don’t want to ruin this beautiful moment but is King his first name? When you file to register him at birth, if you put his name as King, they won’t allow it,” one person commented.

A second said: “Congratulations beautiful lady!! Be sure to check that Birth deaths and marriages will allow you to legally name him King though! It is on the restricted baby name list. Xx.”

A third said: “Congratulations, he is beautiful – I don’t actually think children are allowed to be called King though.”

One person suggested: “If they go to refuse, maybe they could go with Kingston to get approved that way.”

According to Australia’s Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Act, names cannot include or resemble an official title or rank recognised in Australia such as King, Lady, Father, Prince, Sir or Admiral.

Carney and Bradley were first engaged in 2020 but the pair split in 2022 before getting back together.

They welcomed a baby boy who they named Lion Daryl Carney in March 2021.

The couple got married on the Gold Coast in January 2025 after getting engaged in May 2024, and announced they were pregnant in August last year.

Bradley, who previously appeared on Married At First Sight, documented her fertility journey and experience going through IVF.

“And with a little bit of perseverance and a whole lotta love, we finally got you,” she said at the time.

Carney played at the Canberra Raiders, Sydney Roosters and Cronulla Sharks in an NRL career that saw him win the coveted Dally M Medal in 2010.

Carney is stepdad to Susie’s daughter Baby. The three children’s names are now Baby, Lion and King.

Former NRL star Todd Carney and his wife Susie Bradley have welcomed the birth of their second son,…

[568
64,63,761,762,158,85
post-501418","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-nrl","tag-au","tag-australia","tag-national-rugby-league","tag-nationalrugbyleague","tag-nrl","tag-sports
["GET
