The Atlanta Braves<\/a> are bringing a new direct-to-consumer broadcast system to their fans in the 2026 season.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, the team announced its plans<\/a> to launch \u201cBraveVision.\u201d The exclusive Braves television network is your new home for Braves baseball.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s part of the message in the press release from the team:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Atlanta Braves today announced the launch of BravesVision, a multimedia platform owned and operated by the organization that will become the official local television home of the Braves beginning with the 2026 baseball season. BravesVision will usher in a new era of broadcasting, sales, marketing, and distribution of its telecasts.\u201d<\/p>\n

This new TV plan should leave Braves fans really excited for the 2026 season, as the network will reach the entire Atlanta fanbase and extend into states like Tennessee, North Carolina, and Alabama.<\/p>\n

The answer depends on where you live:
\u2022 If you live in the Braves Market (GA, AL, MS, TN, SC, NC):
Your standard MLB.TV subscription will still black out Braves games. To watch the Braves locally, you must either add the Braves.TV \u201cIn-Market\u201d package for $99.99\/year or upgrade to the All-Teams + Braves.TV Bundle for $199.99\/year.
\u2022 If you live outside the Southeast:
Nothing changes. Your existing MLB.TV subscription will continue to show Braves games just like always, with no extra fees or \u201cBravesVision\u201d subscription needed. \u201d<\/p>\n

Does BravesVision Cost Anything?<\/p>\n

As SleeperBraves outlined, the BravesVision package will cost roughly $100 per year if you\u2019re in a Braves market (Alabama, Mississippi, North\/South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia).<\/p>\n

However, if you want to add the full MLB.TV package that would give Braves fans access to all MLB games, which would cost $200\/year. So, for $200 per year, you get every MLB game in addition to every Braves game.<\/p>\n

This seems to be the model that most teams in MLB are transitioning to, which rids of the old cable model. Probably a smart move by MLB organizations as cable companies continue to fail year after year.<\/p>\n

The Braves have a very vast fanbase, so they were never going to have issues striking a deal, but other teams across MLB could be in jeopardy in future years if they don\u2019t transition to this model.<\/p>\n
