While leading stars such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autosport.com\/driver\/marc-marquez\/829758\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Marc Marquez<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autosport.com\/driver\/fabio-quartararo\/841449\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Fabio Quartararo<\/a> have secured base salaries exceeding \u20ac10million, other contracts feature figures closer to those seen in lower classes, at times under \u20ac120,000.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>MotoGP Sports Entertainment, formerly known as Dorna, and the teams have been debating the proposal for some time. The \u20ac500,000 will not include performance-related bonuses.<\/p>\n<p>Autosport understands the proposal is in its final phase prior to ratification. It dates back to discussions among riders about forming an association to defend their interests in situations where their position might differ from the championship organisers\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Meetings were held, with French rider Sylvain Guintoli proposed as a potential spokesperson for the group.
