Tommy Fleetwood is one the hottest golfers on the planet right now. The soft-spoken Pom had a career year in 2025, capturing his first-ever PGA Tour win at the Tour Championship en route to hoisting the FedEx Cup. Now he’s traipsing around in pleated slacks and courting fashion brands like he’s Timothée Chalamet.

In fact, the only thing hotter than Fleetwood at the moment are the TGL mics. On Monday night (Florida time), as Fleetwood’s LA Golf Club faced off in an important match against reigning champions Atlanta Drive GC, the course-side mics captured a fascinating conversation between Fleetwood and his teammate Justin Rose, in which Fleetwood revealed the “unbelievable” swing tip he recently received from legendary swing guru Butch Harmon. Listen in.

Tommy Fleetwood has made $17.8 million on the golf course over the last 8 months.

“Butch [Harmon] gave an unbelievable [swing tip] the other day,” Fleetwood explained. “He wants me to stay high, hip back, close the door with my left hip and then turn and go onto it.”

Revolutionary? Perhaps not, but it’s a simple swing thought that any of us could tinker with at home on a rainy day. Plus, it seems to be working just fine for Tommy, who had another great night at the TGL plate.

So there you have it, yet another example of the pros being Just Like Us™. No matter how naturally gifted they are, no matter how many millions they’ve won, they’re still tinkering and searching and saying silly things like “imagine if this was a door”. If that doesn’t inspire you to get out there and twist those hips, then maybe it’s time to take up lawn bowls.
