The Waves welcome Seattle (17-12, 6-10 WCC) Wednesday night at 6 p.m. before a Saturday matchup with Washington State (12-17, 7-9 WCC) at 5 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday&#8217;s game marks senior day, as graduate students <a href=\"https:\/\/pepperdinewaves.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/javon-cooley\/5418\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"5418\" target=\"_blank\">Javon Cooley<\/a> &amp; <a href=\"https:\/\/pepperdinewaves.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/preston-phillips\/5425\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"5425\" target=\"_blank\">Preston Phillips<\/a> will be honored and recognized pregame. Fans in attendance will also receive a Firestone floor piece while supplies last, commemorating the final full season of Pepperdine basketball at Firestone Fieldhouse. The Waves will move into the Mountain at Mullin Park during the 2026-27 season, as Saturday&#8217;s contest will be the final West Coast Conference game in the iconic venue.<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday&#8217;s game will see the Pepperdine soccer squad be recognized for winning their second straight WCC Championship this past fall.<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday, Feb. 25 &#8211; 6 p.m.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nPepperdine vs. Seattle<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/watch\/player\/_\/id\/62735338-100d-4a10-9cf6-89d36c8dd4aa\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">WATCH<\/a> | <a href=\"https:\/\/stats.statbroadcast.com\/broadcast\/?id=648582\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">LIVE STATS<\/a> | <a href=\"https:\/\/pepperdinewaves.evenue.net\/event\/ATH26\/MB16\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">TICKETS<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Saturday, Feb. 28 &#8211; 5 p.m.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nPepperdine vs. Washington State<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/watch\/player\/_\/id\/cdba6f69-9dbe-4145-b67b-5fa265c59849\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">WATCH<\/a> | <a href=\"https:\/\/stats.statbroadcast.com\/broadcast\/?id=648583\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">LIVE STATS<\/a> | <a href=\"https:\/\/pepperdinewaves.evenue.net\/event\/ATH26\/MB17\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">TICKETS<\/a><br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0&#13;\n<\/p>\n<p>LAST TIME OUT<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Waves fell by a score of 83-73 at Oregon State this past Saturday.&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/pepperdinewaves.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/aaron-clark\/5417\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"5417\" target=\"_blank\">Aaron Clark<\/a> recorded his third 30-point effort of the season, scoring 32 points.&#13;<br \/>\n\tClark knocked down five three-pointers, marking three straight efforts with five or more threes.&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/pepperdinewaves.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/david-mager\/5420\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"5420\" target=\"_blank\">David Mager<\/a> netted a career-high 16 points in 16 minutes, accounting for all of the Waves&#8217; bench points.&#13;<br \/>\n\tMager knocked down six of seven field goal attempts and three of four looks from downtown.&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/pepperdinewaves.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/stefan-cicic\/5635\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"5635\" target=\"_blank\">Stefan Cicic<\/a> recorded a career-high 36 minutes, posting eight points, five rebounds and three blocks.&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Waves&#8217; four offensive rebounds matched a season-low, while Oregon State&#8217;s 19 offensive rebounds marked a season-high allowed by Pepperdine.&#13;<\/p>\n<p>GAME NOTES<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/pepperdinewaves.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/aaron-clark\/5417\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"5417\" target=\"_blank\">Aaron Clark<\/a> ranks seventh in the WCC at 15.7 points per game this season.&#13;<br \/>\n\tClark has scored 17+ points in eight straight efforts, and has averaged 24.9 points per game during the stretch.&#13;<br \/>\n\tHe has shot 29-for-54 from three-point range (.537) over that span.&#13;<br \/>\n\tClark logged a career-high 33 points at LMU (Feb.14) while knocking down five of seven looks from three-point distance. He followed it up going 7-for-8 from three at Portland for 29 points, before logging 32 points last time out at Oregon State.&#13;<br \/>\n\tClark is the only player in the WCC with four efforts of 30+ points this season while being one of 28 in the country to accomplish the feat.&#13;<br \/>\n\tClark is one of three players in the WCC to be averaging at least 15.5 points per game,\u00a03.0 rebounds per game and 2.5 assists per game.&#13;<br \/>\n\tClark has scored 29 or more points in three straight efforts.&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/pepperdinewaves.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/styles-phipps\/5427\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"5427\" target=\"_blank\">Styles Phipps<\/a> is one of four players in the country averaging over 13 points, six rebounds and five assists per game.&#13;<br \/>\n\tPhipps is currently fourth in the WCC in assists per game at 5.0.&#13;<br \/>\n\tPhipps is the only player in the WCC to have both a points\/rebounds double-double and a points\/assists double-double this season.&#13;<br \/>\n\tPhipps logged a career-high 12 assists last week at Portland, while collecting a season-high five steals. It marked the lone game from an NCAA player this season with at least 19 points, 12 assists, six rebounds and five steals.&#13;<br \/>\n\tPhipps leads the conference in free throws made during conference play with 86 (.811), having made 16 more than the next-highest mark.&#13;<br \/>\n\tPhipps\u00a0has paced the Waves with 1.4 steals per game this season.&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/pepperdinewaves.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/javon-cooley\/5418\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"5418\" target=\"_blank\">Javon Cooley<\/a> comes in as the Waves third-leading scorer at 11.4 points per game while\u00a0being second on the squad with 4.6 rebounds per game.&#13;<br \/>\n\tCooley knocked down a career-high five three-pointers at Portland last week on ten attempts, while matching a career-high four assists and career-high three steals.&#13;<br \/>\n\tCooley\u00a0has hit multiple three-pointers in eight games this season, including three times in his last five affairs.&#13;<br \/>\n\tCooley ranks sixth in the conference with an .842 clip from the free throw line, and had a streak of 44 consecutive made free throws this season from Nov. 7-Dec. 18.&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/pepperdinewaves.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/stefan-cicic\/5635\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"5635\" target=\"_blank\">Stefan Cicic<\/a> has set new career-highs in minutes in four straight efforts, averaging 10.5 points, 5.75 rebounds and 2.25 blocks per game over that span.&#13;<br \/>\n\tHe set a career-high in points (17) and rebounds (7) while making his first career start at\u00a0Portland last week.&#13;<br \/>\n\tCicic registered five blocks and five rebounds at Saint Mary&#8217;s on Feb. 11.&#13;<br \/>\n\tCicic posted 13 points with six rebounds against LMU, having the game-winning putback dunk with 5.4 seconds remaining against the Lions.&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/pepperdinewaves.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/david-mager\/5420\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"5420\" target=\"_blank\">David Mager<\/a> had a career-high 16 points last time out on 6-for-7 shooting from the field.&#13;<br \/>\n\tMager has logged four games this season in double figures in scoring.&#13;<br \/>\n\tPepperdine currently ranks 86th in the country in free throw percentage at .754.&#13;<br \/>\n\tThis mark ranks fifth in the WCC, as the Waves have shot over 70-percent from the line in 17 of the past 25 games.&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Waves are one of two teams in the West Coast Conference to have four players\u00a0averaging 11 points per game or more (<a href=\"https:\/\/pepperdinewaves.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/aaron-clark\/5417\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"5417\" target=\"_blank\">Aaron Clark<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/pepperdinewaves.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/javon-cooley\/5418\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"5418\" target=\"_blank\">Javon Cooley<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/pepperdinewaves.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/styles-phipps\/5427\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"5427\" target=\"_blank\">Styles Phipps<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/pepperdinewaves.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/danilo-dozic\/5419\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"5419\" target=\"_blank\">Danilo Dozic<\/a>).&#13;<br \/>\n\tSeven players have finished as the leading scorer in a game for Pepperdine this season, the most in the WCC, with only 15 teams in the country having more.&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Waves hit their two-highest percentage shooting marks from three-point range of the\u00a0season across their last three games\u00a0(10-for-18 against LMU) and (16-for-28 at Portland).&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe shooting output at Portland with 16 three-pointers made marked the most threes in a game for Pepperdine since Jan. 8, 2008.&#13;<\/p>\n<p>SERIES HISTORY<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Waves enter with a 12-22 all-time record against Seattle.&#13;<br \/>\n\tThis includes a 9-5 mark at home for Pepperdine and 7-2 record from Firestone Fieldhouse.&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Redhawks&#8217; most recent trip to Malibu came on Jan. 2, 2011, with the Waves earning an 84-64 victory.&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Redhawks took the previous meeting this season in Seattle, prevailing in the final minute, 83-81.&#13;<br \/>\n\tWashington State leads the all-time series 6-3 against the Waves.&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Cougars have won all three matchups that have come in WCC play over the past two seasons, having not played since 2013-14 prior.&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Waves have a 2-2\u00a0mark at home against the Cougars.&#13;<br \/>\n\tWashington State won the previous meeting this season in Pullman (Jan. 24) by a score of 95-79.&#13;<\/p>\n<p>SCOUTING THE OPPONENT<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tSeattle enters play with a 17-12 overall mark and 6-10 record in conference play.&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Redhawks have posted a 13-4 record at home\u00a0while being 3-7 on the road, going without a conference win on the road this season.&#13;<br \/>\n\tSeattle is coming off a 71-59 win over Portland this past Saturday.&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Redhawks are led by senior Brayden Maldonado who ranks 12th in the WCC with 14.2 points per\u00a0game.&#13;<br \/>\n\tSeattle&#8217;s Will Heimbrodt paces the conference with 2.5 blocks per game.&#13;<br \/>\n\tWashington State has registered a 12-17 record this season while being 7-9 in WCC play.&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Cougars have dropped four of their last five games, most recently an 83-67 defeat at home to Saint Mary&#8217;s.&#13;<br \/>\n\tFreshman guard Ace Glass has posted a team-high 16 points per game which is fifth in the conference.&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Cougars boast the fifth-highest scoring offense in the WCC (76.6 points per game) while being second in the circuit\u00a0in three-point percentage (.373).&#13;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Pepperdine will return for the WCC Tournament from Orleans Arena in Las Vegas from Mar. 5-10. Seedings and a bracket will be announced following this weekend&#8217;s contests.<\/p>\n<p>ABOUT PEPPERDINE MEN&#8217;S BASKETBALL<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nPepperdine men&#8217;s basketball has made 13 NCAA postseason appearances while earning 12 WCC Regular-Season Championships and three WCC Tournament Championships in its history.
