Permanent residents and New Zealand citizens are still allowed to purchase.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Text__Typography-sc-1103tao-0 bjGYxJ StyledP-sc-cebixd-0 bzEerj\">The ban started on April 1, which is not yet covered in data released by FIRB.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Text__Typography-sc-1103tao-0 bjGYxJ StyledP-sc-cebixd-0 bzEerj\">Separate data from realestate.com.au shows that demand is rising from the rest of the world, with a 3.4 per cent increase in search activity for Aussie homes spearheaded by prospective buyers in New Zealand, the United States, Singapore, Hong Kong and Canada.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"styles__StyledImage-sc-17n6uwl-1 hlcJVa size-full wp-post-1103620 wp-image-1103612\" loading=\"eager\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1103612\" data-capiid=\"39e776f2f03159c6641dbdd5521e34e3\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg xmlns=&quot;http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg&quot;
