Brennan Johnson has now shed light on what it has been like working under new Tottenham boss Thomas Frank.<\/p>\n

It certainly is a new era at Tottenham Hotspur<\/a>, with changes taking place on the pitch ahead of the 2025\/26 season.<\/p>\n

It is no news that Tottenham have moved on from manager Ange Postecoglou<\/a>, and are now trusting former Brentford boss Thomas Frank<\/a> to lead them into a new chapter.<\/p>\n

Frank has begun to implement his principles and playing style during pre-season, and now Brennan Johnson<\/a> has offered insight into what it has been like adapting to the Dane\u2019s early ideas.<\/p>\n

Speaking to football.london<\/a>, Johnson has reflected on the tactical shift under Thomas Frank<\/a>, making it clear that while things are changing, he remains excited about what lies ahead.<\/p>\n

He spoke about how he benefited from Ange Postecoglou\u2019s tactics, and how he now needs to adapt to a different style. <\/p>\n

Johnson said, about Postecoglou\u2019s system: \u201cIt was a different tactic from most teams but it definitely suited me. He was the manager who brought me in and he was very much key to me scoring a lot of goals.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow it is different. It is a new look at how we are going to play and it is one I am also very excited about. I can also be very important to the team. Of course, I have good memories of the last two seasons but I am really excited to get going now and for the season to start.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brennan Johnson<\/a> was one of the few players who truly benefited from Ange Postecoglou\u2019s attacking system, with the winger often popping up in the right areas to finish off chances.<\/p>\n

His sharp positioning and poacher\u2019s instinct saw him end last season as Tottenham\u2019s top scorer in all competitions, and he also bagged the decisive goal in the Europa League<\/a> final.<\/p>\n

With Frank now at the helm, Johnson would be looking to impress his new boss, and what will help Johnson even further is that Thomas Frank<\/a> once wanted him at Brentford.<\/p>\n

Speaking further, Johnson revealed how highly he regards his new manager and the work Frank has done in the Premier League<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is nice to finally work with him. He was always someone who impressed me even though I never played under him,\u201d the Wales international said.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven though we played for different teams, I think a lot of people could respect how Brentford played and how hard they were to beat. The quality they had in attacking areas.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey had great players. A lot of that was down to him because when he took over they were a lot worse off. He took them to become an established Premier League team. It shows what kind of development he can do and we are all very excited.\u201d<\/p>\n
