The paper has revealed Piastri is set to sample Cam Waters\u2019 Tickford Racing Ford Mustang behind closed doors at Calder Park on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

It will form a pre-Australian Grand Prix promotion for sponsor Monster Energy, which backs the #6 Tickford entry and the McLaren Formula 1 team.<\/p>\n

Piastri\u2019s Supercars drive is set to be the latest in a series of such crossovers where teams share mutual sponsors.<\/p>\n

The most recent came earlier this year when Max Verstappen drove a Red Bull-liveried Gen3 Mustang for a Ford video shoot.<\/a><\/p>\n

In fact a total of eight drivers on this year\u2019s F1 grid have sampled Supercars machinery in recent years.<\/p>\n

Others are Fernando Alonso, Sergio Perez, Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Liam Lawson, Valtteri Bottas and Arvid Lindblad.<\/p>\n

Other memorable promos include Daniel Ricciardo driving a Kelly Racing Nissan Altima during AGP week at Calder back in 2019 courtesy of Castrol.<\/p>\n

The March 5-8 Australian Grand Prix meeting will mark the opening round of the 2026 F1 season and Round 2 of the Supercars Championship.<\/p>\n
