The show has also grown its viewer nearly every week during the six-episode season, with the lone exception being an early release of the fourth episode on the weekend of the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tSince its Jan. 18 premiere, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has averaged 14 million U.S. viewers across all platforms and 26 million worldwide, HBO says \u2014\u00a0numbers that will continue to grow for a while, since HBO measures viewing for a series for 90 days after it debuts. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tAs is usually the case with HBO shows, the vast majority of the viewers for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms comes from streaming on HBO Max. The season finale, for instance, drew 626,000 people for its first airing on the HBO cable channel. On-air replays added some viewers, but it\u2019s likely that 90 percent or more of the three-day total of 9.5 million came via streaming.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe Game of Thrones universe continues to be a big draw for HBO. House of the Dragon\u2019s second season in 2024 averaged more than <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-news\/house-of-dragon-finale-season-2-finale-tv-ratings-1235966476\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">25 million viewers<\/a> in the United States, which was down some from season 1\u2019s 29 million. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, based on George R.R. Martin\u2019s Dunk and Egg novellas, is a much smaller-scale show than either House of the Dragon or the original series, but even without dragons or epic battles, it has still delivered the third largest debut season on HBO Max since the platform\u2019s launch (behind House of the Dragon and The Last of Us).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tHBO has already <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-news\/house-of-the-dragon-knight-of-seven-kingdoms-renewed-hbo-1236432227\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ordered a second season<\/a> of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which is due to premiere sometime in 2027. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Like Ser Duncan the Tall, viewing figures for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms are sizable.
