Knights recruit Dylan Brown has opened up on his $13 million switch from the Parramatta Eels, revealing the hilarious reaction his parents had to the eyewatering contract.<\/p>\n

Appearing on Face to Face with Matty Johns, Brown said his father laughed when he told him what the Knights had offered.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe goes, \u2018what, really?\u2019 My mum was sort of the same she thought I was lying,\u201d Brown said.<\/p>\n

And his parents weren\u2019t the only ones stunned.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had the same reaction as my dad. It was a bit of a shock,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The monster price tag shone the spotlight on Brown during his final season with the Eels as the playmaker came in for heavy criticism as Parramatta missed out on finals,<\/p>\n

His play for the Eels suffered and later in the season, he was dropped from first grade.<\/p>\n

Despite all of this, Brown remained the ultimate teammate throughout a tricky ordeal.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just want to congratulate you on last year. I spoke to (Eels coach) Jason Ryles and he said you were outstanding with the young blokes. You showed a lot of class,\u201d Johns told Brown.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a good challenge \u2026 It was hard but I learnt a lot,\u201d Brown replied.<\/p>\n
