Razgatlioglu reveals braking lessons from MotoGP legend"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pramac Yamaha MotoGP rookie Toprak Razgatlioglu says Andrea Dovizioso has been \u201cexplaining to me how to brake\u201d on the M1, but is finding doing so a challenge.<\/p>\n<p>The three-time World Superbike made his official <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MotoGP<\/a> race weekend debut on Friday at the Thai Grand Prix, as he steps over from the production-based series.<\/p>\n<p>After a tough winter adapting to the Yamaha, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/wsbk\/racer\/995265\/toprak-razgatlioglu\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Toprak Razgatlioglu<\/a> was 1.839s off the pace in second-to-last after Friday\u2019s running at Buriram and was the slowest of the M1 riders.<\/p>\n<p>A key area where Razgatlioglu is struggling to adapt is corner-entry, with his usual aggressive style from World Superbikes not carrying over on the Michelin tyres.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Every time I am aggressive, I make a mistake\u2019<\/p>\n<p>The Turkish rider says Yamaha tester and 15-time MotoGP race winner Andrea Dovizioso has been teaching him how to brake on the bike, but applying this has been tricky.<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m focused on engine braking,\u201d he told the media on Friday at Buriram.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the first phase of braking, I tend to be too aggressive and end up locking up.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a result, we need to find a better balance, because I then lose the rear and everything becomes very difficult.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDovizioso is explaining to me how to brake, and I understand his instructions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe problem is that it all becomes difficult when I try to put it into practice, especially when I have to follow another rider, because I tend to be aggressive, the rear tyre locks up and I go off-line.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was used to being aggressive in my riding, especially in the early stages of braking, but now I\u2019m trying to adapt without
