The Newcastle Knights winger took the stage during the NRL\u2019s Las Vegas fan fest, revving up the audience with a mix of acrobatics and electric breakdancing. <\/p>\n
Yet it was Marzhew\u2019s tribute to controversial Olympic break dancer Rachael Gunn which really caught fans\u2019 attention. <\/p>\n
Marzhew opened by simulating the Kangaroo hop from Raygun\u2019s iconic, although widely panned, routine from the 2024 Paris Olympics. <\/p>\n
The reference was not lost on social media users after Marzhew\u2019s dance was posted to the NRL\u2019s Instagram. <\/p>\n
\u201cCan we agree he\u2019s so much better than you know who,\u201d one commenter said. <\/p>\n
Ms Gunn\u2019s unique style of breakdancing became a major headline during the 2024 Olympics after her routine went viral worldwide. <\/p>\n
Marzhew\u2019s showmanship was on full display as he followed his Raygun tribute with a backflip that drew mass cheers from the crowd. <\/p>\n
He was not the only NRL star trading his studs for dancing shoes in Sin City, as teammates and opposition players from the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs, North Queensland Cowboys, and St George Illawarra Dragons also took the chance to bust a move. <\/p>\n
Marzhew has been named on the Knight\u2019s wing as last year\u2019s wooden spooners kick off the NRL season against the Cowboys at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday. <\/p>\n
