{"id":509198,"date":"2026-02-28T07:04:12","date_gmt":"2026-02-28T07:04:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/509198\/"},"modified":"2026-02-28T07:04:12","modified_gmt":"2026-02-28T07:04:12","slug":"jason-reitman-plans-live-action-astro-boy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/509198\/","title":{"rendered":"Jason Reitman Plans Live-Action &#8220;Astro Boy&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>            <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/jason-reitman-plans-live-action-astroboy.jpg\" data-caption=\"Summit Entertainment\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" class=\"entry-thumb td-modal-image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/jason-reitman-plans-live-action-astroboy.jpg\"   alt=\"\" title=\"jason-reitman-plans-live-action-astroboy\"\/><\/a>Summit Entertainment<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSaturday Night\u201d and \u201cGhostbusters: Afterlife\u201d director Jason Reitman has reportedly become attached to a live-action film adaptation of the famed \u201cAstro Boy\u201d manga and anime franchise.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theinsneider.com\/p\/jason-reitman-astro-boy-movie-sony-pictures-gil-kenan-live-action-lets-rocket\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The InSneider<\/a> broke the report, saying Reitman and his \u201cGhostbusters: Frozen Empire\u201d director Gil Kenan are tackling the project which has been set up at Sony Pictures.<\/p>\n<p>Specifics of their involvement is unclear at this point though, at present, Reitman is not attached to direct.
