This is a day for anyone to bring any prescriptions or medications that aren\u2019t being used to be safely disposed of. MLA for Prince George-Valemount Rosalyn Bird is one of many involved, and she says it\u2019s an important day to highlight another type of drug abuse that doesn\u2019t often get highlighted, being the potential danger of unused prescriptions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhether it is seniors filling prescriptions through pharmacare and selling them to buy groceries, whether it is young adults using parents\u2019 medications to self-medicate and\/or possibly self-harm through suicide, those drugs need to come out of our medicine cabinets every year.
