The Young and the Restless said goodbye to Jermaine Rivers this week when a dagger killed Damian. As Parade<\/a> reported, Rivers spoke out following his sudden exit, admitting he knew his time was up.<\/p>\n

Talking to X the other day, Rivers took a moment to shout out one of his former co-stars. River worked with many talented people on the CBS soap, but actress Valarie Pettiford (Amy) left a lasting impression on him.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Love I have for this Woman as a scene partner is unmatched!! Valerie always understood the Assignment and Always LOCKED in \ud83d\udcaa\ud83c\udffe\ud83d\udc95\u2026#ThrowbackThursdays #YR,\u201d he wrote as the caption on the X showing a very powerful video of Damian and Amy.<\/p>\n

Fans were quick to jump into the comments section to agree with Rivers and share their thoughts on the dynamic between him and Pettiford.<\/p>\n

\u201cYour dynamic together was beautiful. They could have taken that so much farther. Another unnecessary loss on #YR,\u201d stated a fan. One fan added, \u201cI’m going to miss your dynamic! Y’all showed such a great reconciliation of a Mother and Son’s relationship \ud83d\udc4f\ud83d\udc4f\ud83d\udc4f\ud83d\udc99.\u201d<\/p>\n

A different fan shared, \u201cAmy is a fan favorite! I\u2019m dreading the scenes when she finds out her Damian is gone. \ud83d\ude22.\u201d That sentiment was echo in another comment that read, \u201cI\u2019m not sure I\u2019m going to be able to watch , when she is told her son was killed \ud83e\udd72. Im sure I\u2019ll watch but I will be heartbroken \ud83d\udc94 for her.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSadly they’ll be no more scenes like it,\u201d wrote one fan. Other comments include, \u201cI am so sad that you are leaving Y&R\u201d and \u201cSurely going to miss you!!!! \u2665\ufe0f.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite only being on The Young and the Restless<\/a>for a few months, Rivers is celebrating Damian’s role in a major storyline. Speaking withSoap Opera Digest,<\/a> Rivers made it clear there are no hard feelings.<\/p>\n

The actor knew what he was getting into and is celebrating being part of the Aristotle Dumas drama leading to Cane\u2019s (Billy Flynn) return.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was a huge part of that, and I\u2019m honored. And I won\u2019t walk back and look at it from a negative lens,\u201d the actor told the outlet.<\/p>\n
