Marc Marquez is primed to break even more MotoGP records in the second half of the 2025 season with Ducati.<\/p>\n

The 32-year-old leads the title race by 120 points over his brother, Alex, and is currently on a streak of 10 consecutive victories.<\/p>\n

By doubling that run, Marquez<\/a> will match his run of 10 consecutive MotoGP<\/a> race victories from 2014, which was a record he set from the start of the campaign.<\/p>\n

Ducati<\/a> have given him an amazing platform to kick on from, while teammate Francesco Bagnaia struggles with the GP25, which doesn\u2019t suit his riding style.<\/p>\n

Bagnaia sounded like Valentino Rossi with a Marquez comment<\/a> after admitting that he could ride a poor bike and still win.<\/p>\n

Following his dominance in 2025, Marquez has emulated an \u2018impossible\u2019 MotoGP feat<\/a> just like Mick Doohan and Jorge Lorenzo by riding through pain to reach the top again.<\/p>\n

While Bagnaia is \u2018really raging\u2019 at Ducati<\/a>, Marquez has been able to enjoy his campaign. He has 19 wins compared to one for his Italian rival.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not the first time he has been superior to an Italian, with Marquez \u2018completely\u2019 overshadowing Rossi\u2019s retirement<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Both Rossi and Marquez are considered to be two of the greatest riders of all time, with Mat Oxley believing that they share an \u2018incredibly important\u2019 trait that no other rider has.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis technique, how he could control the front tyre, which is his killer skill. No one else, even now, can control the front tyre like he can, which has given him a huge advantage,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cA cornerstone of his championship successes. What you realise is that it\u2019s actually his intellect, his temperament that are incredibly important. Especially his intellect, how he is able to, I kind of put it like he\u2019s got an extra gear in his brain. Everybody has got six gears and he\u2019s got a seventh gear. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s probably not the only rider in history to have had this. I would say Valentino Rossi was the same. The way he approaches the weekend, the way he approaches races, the way he approaches his strategy,\u201d Oxley continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust everything about him is tuned toward just one thing. Winning on Sunday, and winning on Saturday as well now.\u201d<\/p>\n

How Marc Marquez could break an incredible 50-year MotoGP record in 2025<\/p>\n

By winning the title in 2025, Marquez would have achieved MotoGP\u2019s oldest champion record, stealing it from Rossi by two years, but he also would have broken another unique statistic.<\/p>\n

By winning a title 12 years after his first, he would successfully break Giacomo Agostini\u2019s record for the longest gap between his first and last triumph.<\/p>\n

Agostini set the record in 1975, nine years after securing his first crown, and Marquez will now get the chance to break it after 50 years.<\/p>\n
