Candace Cameron Bure<\/a> doesn\u2019t want God to be all-seeing all the time.<\/p>\n

The \u201cFull House\u201d alum admitted on her podcast Tuesday that there\u2019s one thing about sex that really \u201cweirds\u201d her out. The moment occurred 27 minutes into the episode<\/a>, as Bure\u2019s guest, Bachelor Nation\u2019s Madi Prewett, was attempting to unpack her complicated feelings about enjoying sex as a Christian who was raised within \u201cpurity culture.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cA visual of God watching me having sex weirds me out,\u201d Bure blurted out to Prewett. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt totally just depends on your upbringing and what your past experiences have been or the things that you were taught as a kid, Bure later added. \u201cI\u2019m almost 50 and some of those adolescent thoughts never quite leave your mind or those high school teenage thoughts never quite leave your mind.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prewett told Bure she was \u201cso real\u201d for bringing up the image of God watching her in the act.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think what I felt, I\u2019m like, \u2018Lord, help me to invite you into this and not feel like this is a weird or shameful thing for you because you created it,\u2019\u201d the \u201cBachelor\u201d runner-up added. \u201cYou created it to feel good, you know, you put the nerve endings where they are, the feelings where [they are] like, you, you did that. And so I\u2019m just going to invite you into this and pray that you bless it. Pray that it honors you, pray that it serves and respects my husband. It\u2019s an interesting thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier in the episode, Bure admitted that her experience with purity culture made her transition from virgin to married woman feel pretty jarring.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s like, \u2018OK, now you\u2019re married, go for it,\u2019\u201d Bure said of being able to engage in something<\/a> that she was told her whole life was a sin.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd it was a little… I don\u2019t want to quite use the word shameful, but there were parts of it that felt shameful because I went from not being a sexual person to [people] saying, like, \u2018Now you can do whatever you want.\u2019 And so it felt weird. There wasn\u2019t a good bridge there,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Although it\u2019s easy to understand Bure\u2019s complicated feelings surrounding sex, considering her Christian upbringing, her political stances could lead some to view her with a lot less empathy.<\/p>\n

In 2022, she received backlash<\/a> after parting ways with the Hallmark Channel \u2015 her professional home of more than a decade \u2015 to join the more conservative network Great American Family. She told the Wall Street Journal<\/a> she did so because she wanted to act in movies about \u201ctraditional marriage.\u201d<\/p>\n

About a year later, Bure found herself in hot water with the LGBTQ+ community again after actor Miss Benny<\/a>, who is transgender, claimed Bure had tried to get her fired<\/a> from \u201cFuller House\u201d because she objected to having a queer character on the series.<\/p>\n

Bure later issued a statement to People<\/a>, saying: \u201cI thought Miss Benny did a great job as \u2018Casey\u2019 on the show. We didn\u2019t share any scenes together, so we didn\u2019t get a chance to talk much while filming on set.
