\u201cI think you can look at a lot of games where we’ve had to show a lot of resolve,\u201d Sabres coach\u00a0Lindy Ruff said. \u201c\u2026 There’s been a lot of training on the job for us where bad things have happened. We’ve made bad plays and teams have got back into it, we’ve played in tight games, there’s been a couple of games we’ve lost where we’ve been leading that you learn from.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ivan Barbashev<\/a> and Pavel Dorofeyev<\/a> scored, and Akira Schmid<\/a> made 25 saves for the Golden Knights (28-19-14), who have lost three straight.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve been down this road before. We get behind, sort of get punched in the face, and then we get to our game,\u201d Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy said. \u201cWe\u2019ve been talking about trying to get there before that happens a lot. We just missed some chances. Offensively, didn\u2019t execute as well as we need to.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI think in general our secondary scoring has kind of been an issue for us, and we need that to win games. Whether that\u2019s guys in the bottom of the lineup or\u00a0defensemen, we didn\u2019t have it tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zucker gave Buffalo a 1-0 lead at 4:02 of the first period.\u00a0Ryan McLeod<\/a>\u2019s attempt at a cross-ice pass deflected off Eichel\u2019s skate to Zucker at the right post.<\/p>\n

Power scored 46 seconds into the second period to make it 2-0.
