In preparation for her 2018 film Destroyer, she reportedly took to living like an undercover police officer, adopting her character Erin Bell\u2019s cantankerous personality, much to the chagrin of then-husband Keith Urban.<\/p>\n
\u201cI entered so deeply into her,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t always do this with a character, but this one I had to because I didn\u2019t want to feel like I was ever shifting into a performance. I stayed in character the whole time.\u201d<\/p>\n
