The Arizona Cardinals planning to release<\/a>\u00a0Kyler Murray is one of the more notable moves in the NFL\u2019s offseason so far, but it seems like Murray has an opportunity to change his career in professional sports from football.<\/p>\n

According to the Athletics<\/a> GM, David Forst<\/a>, the A\u2019s are open to Murray joining the team if he decides he wants to return to baseball. The Athletics own his MLB rights since they also drafted him in 2018<\/a>, alongside the Cardinals.<\/p>\n

“He and his baseball representatives know that we\u2019re always open to him exploring a return to baseball with the A\u2019s if that time ever comes,\u201d Forst said.<\/p>\n

So, when\u2019s the last time Murray played baseball? That would be when he was playing in college<\/a> for the Oklahoma Sooners, where he played two seasons. In those two seasons he was an outfielder, where he slashed .261\/.381\/.466\/.847 with 13 doubles, 10 home runs, 47 RBI and 10 stolen bases in 78 games played.<\/p>\n

Currently, the A\u2019s outfield is made up of Lawrence Butler, Denzel Clarke, and Tyler Sodestrom. Of those guys, it\u2019s possible that Murray could play over at least Clarke, and maybe even Butler.<\/p>\n

With the NFL seemingly out on Murray, and an MLB club welcoming him in with a guaranteed contract, there seems like there is an easy decision to be made by the NFL superstar.<\/p>\n
