From planning the menu to rubbing elbows with some of golf\u2019s greats, it\u2019s not hard to imagine even the most hardened pros fighting back a few butterflies before their big night.<\/p>\n
Scottie Scheffler revealed as much on Wednesday at the Arnold Palmer Invitational when he was asked about his nerves in the build up to his first Masters Champions Dinner in 2023.<\/p>\n
\u201cYeah, I think definitely the first time around when you\u2019re hosting the dinner, it\u2019s your first time in that room, you don\u2019t really know what to expect,\u201d he told the AP\u2019s Doug Ferguson. \u201cI had no idea what it\u2019s going to be like. The only thing I really knew is where I was going to sit. That\u2019s basically the only thing I knew, sitting next to Mr. Crenshaw and the chairman. So, yeah, I was definitely nervous. I\u2019m not really a super social guy to begin with.\u201d<\/p>\n

Usually a familiar face in the room is just the lifeline you need in scenarios like this, but as Scheffler explained, that isn\u2019t always the case. When the topic turned to the Champions Dinner seating arrangements, Scheffler revealed that there\u2019s only two real rules to live by: 1. Don\u2019t park yourself between Jack and Tiger and 2.
