{"id":520362,"date":"2026-03-05T13:25:10","date_gmt":"2026-03-05T13:25:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/520362\/"},"modified":"2026-03-05T13:25:10","modified_gmt":"2026-03-05T13:25:10","slug":"amundi-kkr-temasek-unit-among-bidders-for-uob-asset-management-sources","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/520362\/","title":{"rendered":"Amundi, KKR, Temasek unit among bidders for UOB Asset Management: sources"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Published Thu, Mar 5, 2026 \u00b7 06:37 PM<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words mb-4 md:mb-6\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-component\">[SINGAPORE] Amundi, KKR and Temasek Holdings\u2019 Seviora unit are bidding for United Overseas Bank\u2019s asset management arm, according to people familiar with the matter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words mb-4 md:mb-6\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-component\">The three have submitted non-binding offers to invest in UOB Asset Management, the people said, asking not to be identified because the information is private. <\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words mb-4 md:mb-6\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-component\">A key aspect of the negotiations is how much of its distribution network in South-east Asia UOB is willing to include, two of the people said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words mb-4 md:mb-6\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-component\">Talks are ongoing and no final decisions have been made, the people revealed, adding that a transaction might not materialise, while other parties could also make a bid.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words mb-4 md:mb-6\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-component\">A spokesperson for UOB said that the bank does not comment on market rumours or speculation. A transaction may value UOB\u2019s asset management business at several hundred million dollars, some of the people have said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words mb-4 md:mb-6\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-component\">Established in 1986, the wholly owned UOB subsidiary had about S$41 billion of assets under management as of the end of November. In addition to Singapore, the asset manager has a presence in Brunei, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
