Not too dissimilar to K rock\u2019s call sign.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMaybe it\u2019s a little bit of an omen for the Cats that they can deliver another premiership cup down the highway,\u201d says Head of K rock Football Tom \u2018Kingy\u2019 King.<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of tonight\u2019s AFL opening round clash between the Cats and the Suns, Kingy says it\u2019s always an exciting time, both for the K rock team and the Geelong population as a whole.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe follow the fortunes of the Cats with our heart on our sleeves.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Even more so,<a href=\"https:\/\/radiotoday.com.au\/we-are-geelong-k-rock-delivers-amazing-grand-final-week-triple-treat\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> coming off a Grand Final loss.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cHope springs eternal that maybe the Cats can go one better in 2026,\u201d Kingy muses. \u201cSo, as we have done since 1932, we unashamedly want the Cats to do well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf they\u2019re still playing in late September, it\u2019s not only good for the football club, it\u2019s good for the radio station and it\u2019s even better for the City of Geelong and the region as a whole.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-139757 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Screenshot-3820.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"939\" height=\"649\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Kingy and Ben Casanelia will continue to lead K rock\u2019s play-by-play coverage in 2026. Former Geelong star Zach Tuohy will be back in the expert\u2019s chair along with Mark Neeld, with Jason Doherty in charge of the boundary duties.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a line-up not dissimilar to last year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo use a clich\u00e9, stability is our friend in 2026!\u201d says Kingy, adding that K rock has also reaffirmed its commitment to local footy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur partnership with AFL Barwon will continue in 2026, extending that into a sixth season.
