\u201cSavannah Guthrie stopped by the studio this morning to be with and thank her Today colleagues,\u201d an NBC News spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> in a March 5 statement. \u201cWhile she plans to return to the show on air, she remains focused right now supporting her family and working to help bring Nancy home.\u201d It seems that Savannah did not make an on-camera appearance during the visit.<\/p>\n

Savannah stepped back from her role as co-anchor of the show after her mother was reported missing, with Hoda Kotb and Sheinelle Jones stepping in alongside Savannah’s co-host Craig Melvin. No return date has been set for Savannah.<\/p>\n

Shortly after the case was opened, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told\u00a0NBC News<\/a> that\u00a0the 84-year-old was likely taken from her home<\/a>\u00a0\u201cpossibly in the middle of the night” and the case was deemed to be a \u201cpossible kidnapping or abduction.\u201d<\/p>\n

Savannah recently shared an update with her followers, announcing that she and her family had increased the reward from $100,000 to a $1 million<\/a> for information about Nancy. \u201cWe still believe in a miracle. We still believe that she can come home,” she said in a video message. “Hope against hope. As my sister says, we are blowing on the embers of hope.\u201d<\/p>\n

Savannah, her sister Annie, and her brother-in-law Tommaso Cioni made an emotional trip to visit Nancy’s home<\/a> in Tuscon, Arizona on March 2, marking one month since Nancy’s disappearance.<\/p>\n

Nanos shared an update on the case<\/a> on March 3, stating, \u201cI think that investigators are definitely closer. We\u2019ve got a lot of intel, a lot of leads, but now it\u2019s time to just go to work.\u201d<\/p>\n
