{"id":521990,"date":"2026-03-06T07:03:10","date_gmt":"2026-03-06T07:03:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/521990\/"},"modified":"2026-03-06T07:03:10","modified_gmt":"2026-03-06T07:03:10","slug":"cmat-and-amble-win-big-at-rte-choice-music-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/521990\/","title":{"rendered":"CMAT and Amble win big at RT\u00c9 Choice Music Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The RT\u00c9 Choice Music Prize Album Of The Year for 2025 has been awarded to CMAT for her album EURO-COUNTRY.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement was made by Barry Devlin of Horslips at an event in Vicar Street, Dublin, after the judging panel of Irish music media professionals met to select the winner from 10 shortlisted albums.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s the second Choice Music Prize Album Of The Year winner for the &#8216;Dunboyne Diana&#8217;, who also received the Irish Artist of the Year award, presented by Beta Da Silva of RT\u00c9 2FM.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"N\/A\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/002401cb-614.jpg\"\/><br \/>\nCMAT also performed live for the audience at Dublin&#8217;s Vicar Street<\/p>\n<p>CMAT received a cheque for \u20ac10,000 along with a specially commissioned award. The prize fund was provided by the Irish Music Rights Organisation and the Irish Recorded Music Association.<\/p>\n<p>The event was hosted by Tracy Clifford of RT\u00c9 2FM, and featured live performances from six of the nominated artists.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"N\/A\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/002401c7-614.jpg\"\/><br \/>\nIrish Song of the Year and Breakthrough Irish Artist of the Year winners Amble<\/p>\n<p>In other awards, Amble won Irish Song of the Year for the song Schoolyard Days.
