Brisbane<\/a> coach Chris Fagan will take comfort in the green on the statistics sheet and contemplate a key inclusion after the two-time reigning AFL<\/a> premiers\u2019 Opening Round fumble.<\/p>\n

But as a Lions debut looms for Essendon<\/a> recruit Sam Draper, the Lions will be sweating on the availability of co-captain Harris Andrews, damaging goalkicker Zac Bailey, and reliable defender Darcy Gardiner, who could all attract bans from the AFL\u2019s match review officer.<\/p>\n

Andrews is staring down the barrel of as many as three games on the sidelines after a swinging arm that ended the night of Bulldogs small forward Arty Jones.<\/p>\n

The superstar key defender tried to block Jones from hunting a loose ball but collected him high with a hit that appeared to knock him out and later left a battle scar under his eye socket.<\/p>\n

After laying flat on his face for a worrying moment, Jones walked off gingerly and was ruled out of the remainder of the game with concussion.<\/p>\n

The hit is likely to be graded as careless conduct, high contact and severe impact, which would incur a three-game ban and a trip to the tribunal.<\/p>\n

New rules give the MRO the ability to downgrade some suspensions using discretion, which is possible in this instance \u2014 but Andrews will have a nervous wait regardless.<\/p>\n

His expected suspension will be felt greatly by the Lions, who are without possible replacements Jack Payne and Tom Doedee, against Swans talls Charlie Curnow, Joel Armatey and Justin McInerney next Saturday night.<\/p>\n

Bailey could have a case to answer for himself as well after an intentional elbow to the head of Michael Sellwood, while Gardiner flattened Aaron Naughton with a high hit in a marking contest, but neither of the two Bulldogs players were significantly impacted by the hits.<\/p>\n

The Lions had withstood the Western Bulldogs\u2019 best blows, kicking five consecutive majors to lead by 26 points late in the third term on Saturday.<\/p>\n

But the Bulldogs surged back to win by five points – 16.15 (111) to 15.16 (106) – in an enthralling Gabba contest.<\/p>\n

Rubbing further salt into the wounds, Brisbane will wait on scans for freshly minted co-captain Hugh McCluggage, who lasted just minutes of the first quarter before going off with a calf concern.<\/p>\n

But Fagan remains positive about the performance against the Bulldogs.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo alarm bells,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou look at the stats and there\u2019s so much green here for us.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat set of statistics is a good set against the Bulldogs.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou take heart from that. They\u2019re a good team. Just a number of little things.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fagan said Draper, who has battled foot soreness after recovering from an Achilles tear, would be available to face the Swans while hard-nosed defender Noah Answerth also played a practice match in his successful return from the same injury.<\/p>\n

Zane Zakostelsky was solid on debut in his ruck battle with Tim English while the form of Charlie Cameron, who had four goals, three score assists and five tackles to go with 15 disposals, was also a bright spot.<\/p>\n
