The Block<\/a>‘s Dan and Dani Reilly<\/a> celebrated the upcoming arrival of their second child<\/a> with an intimate baby shower.<\/p>\n

While they celebrated life, Dani honoured their firstborn Billie, who sadly passed away<\/a>, in a moving post that beautifully captured the love and light of the day.<\/p>\n

“Yesterday we celebrated love and life with a small gathering in our garden,” the mum shared on Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“It was beautiful \u2014 exactly how I imagined honouring the little life we’re waiting to meet \ud83d\udc9a.<\/p>\n

“Yesterday felt light. Today feels incredibly heavy,” she continued. “The emotional whiplash of pregnancy after loss is something words can never quite capture.”<\/p>\n

Dan marked the day with a message thanking all those who joined them on the day.<\/p>\n

Dan and Dani welcomed their first daughter Billie Vera Reilly in December 2024, she tragically passed away at just 10 days old.<\/a><\/p>\n

Counting down the arrival of their second child, the couple were joined by their closest friends and family in their family home.<\/p>\n

They threw a \ufeffbackyard baby shower with the most spectacular cake and fruit spread.<\/p>\n

One close friend, Walt Collins, who helped capture photos from the day said the celebration couldn’t have been more special.<\/p>\n

“It’s amazing how delicate life is. And how grateful we all feel, to see Dani and Dan celebrate their pending arrival of baby Reilly,” he captioned his snaps, reshared to Dan and Dani’s Instagram page.<\/p>\n

“Wrapping my arms around you from afar and sending you so much love and light \u2728\ud83d\udc9b,” wrote another.<\/p>\n

In a second post, Dani thanked her daughter Billie in honour of International Women’s Day.<\/p>\n

“I celebrate my girl. The girl who made me a mother. The girl who brings me sunshine when I need it most,” she penned.<\/p>\n

“The girl who showed more strength than I ever knew possible, and whose impact & legacy will continue hopefully well after I’ve left this earth to be with her again.<\/p>\n

“She existed, she matters, and she changed the world around her \u2014 most of all mine. Billie, my beautiful girl, you are and always will be a force. \u2600\ufe0f.”<\/p>\n

Since Billie’s passing Dan and Dani founded Billie’s Besties\ufeff, a charity fund founded in memory of their beautiful daughter.<\/p>\n

Dan and Dani shared Billie’s story on her official fundraising page<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As of March 2026, they have raised over $186,000 to support the Women’s Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU)\ufeff.<\/p>\n
