On a day filled with exciting signings and trades<\/a>, the Pittsburgh Steelers<\/a> announced some important 2026 NFL Draft<\/a> news.<\/p>\n

The Steelers revealed<\/a> on Monday that the NFL had awarded them four compensatory picks for the 2026 NFL Draft: a third-, a fourth-, and two sixth-round selections.<\/p>\n

Their picks are the 35th of the third round (99th overall), the 35th of the fourth round (135th overall), the 33rd of the sixth round (214th overall), and the 35th of the sixth round (216th overall).<\/p>\n

Pittsburgh gained these compensatory picks based on a formula that heavily considers free agency additions and losses from the previous year. The Steelers<\/a> lost Najee Harris, Russell Wilson, James Daniels, Justin Fields, Donte Jackson, Dan Moore, and Elandon Roberts, but gained Brandin Echols, Malik Harrison, and Mason Rudolph in 2025.<\/p>\n

No strangers to making excellent decisions with their comp picks, the Steelers have really hit on some of these selections \u2014 such as Hines Ward in 1998, William Gay in 2007, Vince Williams in 2013, James Conner in 2017, and Alex Highsmith in 2020.<\/p>\n

With their total 2026 picks increasing to 12 selections, the Steelers will have every opportunity to make the most out of their upcoming draft class.<\/p>\n
