Julian Cash<\/a> and Lloyd Glasspool<\/a> on Thursday became the first doubles team to qualify for the Nitto ATP Finals<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Britons guaranteed their place at the season finale by winning the National Bank Open Presented by Rogers<\/a>. It is the pair’s sixth title of the season and first ATP Masters 1000 triumph together.<\/p>\n

\u201cQualifying for Turin was one of our big goals in the offseason, so to have done it so early is obviously amazing,\u201d Cash said. \u201cI\u2019ve never played there before, so really looking forward to it. But [we have] got some more things to do before the end of the season and then we\u2019ll push for that at the end.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s an amazing achievement. Glad to be going back there, it\u2019s an amazing tournament, amazing city,\u201d Glasspool said. \u201cI think that just shows what a good year we\u2019ve had and really happy to have qualified.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cash and Glasspool first competed together last September and quickly became a formidable force on the ATP Tour. In their first full season as a team, they have tallied a 47-11 record, according to the Infosys ATP Win\/Loss Index.<\/p>\n

The new team has claimed glory at Brisbane, Doha, Queen’s Club, Eastbourne, Wimbledon<\/a> and now Toronto. By winning Wimbledon<\/a>, Cash and Glasspool became the first all-British team to win a major men\u2019s doubles title since 1936.<\/p>\n

With victory in Toronto, the Britons have won 19 consecutive matches dating back to the start of their run at Queen’s Club in June. Glasspool qualified for the Nitto ATP Finals<\/a> in 2022 with Harri Heliovaara<\/a>, while this will be Cash’s debut at the season finale.<\/p>\n

The 2025 Nitto ATP Finals<\/a> will take place at Inalpi Arena from 9-16 November. Carlos Alcaraz<\/a> has already qualified for the singles field.<\/p>\n
