I was quiet. I had other things going on. I was in my shell,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n But Kidman suggested she is now ready to move forward.<\/p>\n \u201cNow I\u2019m in a place of saying, \u20182026. Here we go.\u2019 I have Practical Magic with Sandra Bullock. I\u2019ll be in full witch mode.\u201d<\/p>\n Her comments come months after she filed for divorce from Urban in September 2025, ending one of Hollywood\u2019s longest-running celebrity marriages.<\/p>\n Asked directly how she was doing in the months since the seperation Kidman offered a brief but optimistic response.<\/p>\n \u201cI am, because I\u2019m always going to be moving toward what\u2019s good,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n While acknowledging the upheaval in her personal life, Kidman made clear that protecting her family remains her priority.<\/p>\n \u201cWhat I\u2019m grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward. That\u2019s that,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n \u201cEverything else I don\u2019t discuss out of respect. I\u2019m staying in a place of, \u2018We are a family,\u2019 and that\u2019s what we\u2019ll continue to be. My beautiful girls, my darlings, who are suddenly women.\u201d<\/p>\n Kidman and Urban, both 58, first met in 2005 and married the following year. They share two daughters: Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15.<\/p>\n Court documents showed Kidman filed for divorce in Davidson County, Tennessee, citing \u201cmarital difficulties and irreconcilable differences\u201d.<\/p>\n According to the filing, the couple had already agreed on how to divide their personal belongings before the legal proceeding began.<\/p>\n Their divorce was finalised on January 6.<\/p>\n It has been reported that Kidman was granted primary custody of their daughters at her Nashville residence, while both parents agreed to share responsibility for major decisions affecting the girls\u2019 lives.<\/p>\n Despite the personal upheaval, Kidman said her focus remains on balancing work with time at home.<\/p>\n When asked if she had ever considered moving behind the camera as a director, she revealed the idea had crossed her mind but said family commitments remain her priority.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve circled it. But then I\u2019ve been too busy or too tired. There are still things I want to do as an actor. I want to do theatre again,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve done Broadway and the West End a couple of times. But I\u2019m interested in off-Broadway and even some regional theatre at some point, like in Chicago. Those things are different and exciting; you just need to get your children to a certain age to be able to do it.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cFor now, though, she said her daughters come first.<\/p>\n \u201cRight now is not the time for me to do that; I\u2019ve got to take care of these kids. That\u2019s sort of in my \u2018Future\u2019 folder.
