Igor Tudor will fight on with Totten\u00adham against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday in a desperate bid for any positivity before the rele\u00adgation six\u2011pointer at home against Nottingham Forest the following week.<\/p>\n
The interim manager, who is under contract until the end of the season, is not expected to last that long as his tenure lurches from one horror performance to the next, the latest being the 5-2 defeat at \u00adAtl\u00e9tico\u00a0Madrid<\/a> in the Champions League last\u201116 first\u00a0leg on Tuesday.<\/p>\n That made it four defeats out of four since Tudor took over <\/a>from Thomas Frank<\/a>; the first three were in the Premier League where Spurs are 16th, one point and two places above the relegation zone. \u00adForest are 17th.<\/p>\n Spurs have let in 14 goals under Tudor and were 4-0 down after 22\u00a0\u00adminutes at Atl\u00e9tico.<\/p>\n Two of the concessions were disasters for the goalkeeper, Antonin Kinsky, making his first appearance since 29\u00a0October. Tudor substituted the 22-year-old in the 17th minute at 3\u20110 \u2013 a move that sparked criticism of his man-management.<\/p>\n Tudor\u2019s approach in general has been to work the players incredibly hard in training, believing they are not fit enough, and \u00adreinforce high standards when it comes to discipline and commitment to the cause. The way that he has cracked the whip, which also takes in the tone of his \u00admessaging, has not been effective.<\/p>\n Tottenham are keeping an eye on the market in the event they have to sack Tudor, but they are conscious it was limited when they dismissed Frank on 11 February and nothing has changed since. He was at fault for the second goal for 2-0, \u00adhaving been sent off in the previous game \u2013 the league defeat against \u00adCrystal Palace. He is banned for \u00adLiverpool. The return leg against Atl\u00e9tico is next Wednesday.<\/p>\n Van\u00a0de\u00a0Ven said: \u201cIt\u2019s a doomsday scena\u00adrio. Every\u00adthing that could go wrong went wrong. For our goalkeeper it\u2019s terrible as well. You don\u2019t wish that on \u00adanyone. It\u2019s just really tough, and now we have an important match this weekend I won\u2019t be able to play in because I\u2019m suspended. It\u2019s a really terrible period.
