Page Six.

“This is a deal-breaker for me,” Kidman said, doubling down. “You could be the most gorgeous, gorgeous guy, and if you came at me with bad breath, I’m like, no. If I say, ‘Breathe on me,’ and I have to recoil, yikes, I’m out. You could not offer me enough money.”

Luckily for Kidman, she temporarily lost her sense of smell during Covid, which left the Babygirl actor “relieved.”

“Finally, I was free,” she gushed, before adding that her sense of smell eventually returned.

With her nostrils working to their full potential, Kidman was able to appreciate the person who she deems the best smelling.

“Rihanna,” Kidman stated. “We don’t need to unwind it or decipher it, just know that it’s all true. It’s intoxicating, like, ‘I will follow you around.’”

“Big Little Lies” ran for two seasons, from 2017 to 2019, long before she lost her sense of smell.

Kidman, 58, and Skarsgård, 49, played Celeste and Perry White during season one of the hit drama. Despite presenting as the perfect family, Perry was secretly abusive towards his wife.

The series, which also starred Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern, Shailene Woodley, Zoë Kravitz and Meryl Streep, quickly became a fan favourite, even sweeping at the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards in 2017.

Big Little Lies won 8 out of 16 nominations, including Kidman taking home Best Lead Actress and Skarsgård nabbing the Supporting Actor trophy.

Now, seven years later, rumours have been swirling that a third season of the psychological show is in the works.

According to a September 2025 report from Deadline, author Liane Moriarty, who penned the books the show was adapted from, is almost done writing the latest instalment.

The outlet revealed that Francesca Sloane is set to write the first episode of season three, which is currently in development at the network. The original series creator, David E. Kelley, is also back.

“We’re just sort of in early talks … communicating with Liane Moriarty, who has a lot of ideas about where these characters would be now,” Witherspoon, 49, told USA Today on Tuesday.

“The children have grown up, they’re now teenagers, it’s been about 10 years … as you can imagine, parenting those age children’s got its sets of challenges,” she added.

In January, Witherspoon teased followers on Instagram with a series of pics from filming the first season, writing, “2016. Bringing back BIG memories with some of my fav people.”
