Image: Hi-Tec Oils Super Series<\/p>\n<p>During the opening laps, Dominic Caminiti suffered a mechanical failure on the run to Turn 1, leaving a trail of fluid on the circuit.<\/p>\n<p>In just his second race meeting, Dixon was circulating alone at the rear of the field and appeared to spin on the fluid in the braking zone.<\/p>\n<p>Dixon\u2019s machine snapped sideways violently and spun towards the inside of the circuit.<\/p>\n<p>The #33 RX8 tripped over the apex kerb at Turn 1 and rolled onto its roof as Caminiti watched on from his stricken machine.<\/p>\n<p>The car slid spectacularly on its roof across the racetrack and came to rest in the gravel trap on its wheels.<\/p>\n<p>Dixon signalled straight away that he was ok and climbed from the car unhurt.<\/p>\n<p>A brief safety car period neutralised the field so the fluid could be cleaned up, setting up a two lap dash to the finish.<\/p>\n<p>Stiaan Kriel took a third victory from four races ahead of series rookie Cadel Ambrose.<\/p>\n<p>Formula RX8 returns for a final race at 2:00pm local time (ACDT).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/t.cfjump.com\/92797\/b\/285241\" rel=\"nofollow sponsored noopener\" data-bid=\"1\" data-no-instant=\"1\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none; vertical-align: middle;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/285241.gif\" alt=\"\"\/><br \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"James Dixon was unhurt after a spectacular rollover in Race 3 of Formula RX8 at The Bend.
