Former Spice Girl Mel C is set to spice up Perth\u2019s<\/a> life as she brings her Sweat world tour west side later this year in a celebration of Sporty Spice\u2019s extensive 30-year career.<\/p>\n

Mel C \u2014 who was given her nickname due to her thanks to her signature athletic style \u2014 is bringing her \u201celectrifying\u201d live show down under to tour her unreleased album, Sweat.<\/p>\n

Sweat is set to be released on May 1 and is described as Mel C\u2019s \u201cmost euphoric and dancefloor-driven record\u201d as her ninth studio album, but also it is also deeply personal, according to the star.<\/p>\n

\u201cMusic gets me through tough moments,\u201d the 52-year-old said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m proud to bring out a joyful record in a dark time.\u201d<\/p>\n

The tour will be visiting \u201ciconic\u201d locations around Australia; beginning at Perth\u2019s Astor Theatre, the British singer will then perform at Northcote Theatre in Melbourne, The Tivoli in Brisbane, and Enmore Theatre in Sydney.<\/p>\n

It is not just a fleeting visit for Sporty Spice, who says her connection to Australia<\/a> \u201cruns deep\u201d, when she returns to television screens as a coach on The Voice later this year.<\/p>\n

Sweat\u2019s unreleased lead single\u2019s music video was even filmed in Australia.<\/p>\n

Sweat\u2019s promotional team Blue Music has raved about the new album, lauding it as a \u201ccelebration of joy, movement, and community\u201d which pays tribute to the many facets of Sporty Spice in her extensive career.<\/p>\n
