US country music star Riley Green ejected a fan from his Melbourne show on Saturday night after being struck in the face with a mobile phone.

Green, who also has a starring role in the Yellowstone spin-off series, Marshalls, stopped the show after the hurled object made direct contact near his ear.

The incident happened during Green’s Cowboy As It Gets show at Margaret Court Arena.

“Can we get the house lights on?” Green asked, then pointed at a man in the crowd. “Get his ass out of here!”

The man was booed and pelted with a full water bottle as he was escorted from the building.

Green then continued to perform his show unaware blood was still streaming down the side of his face and neck.

“Damn, am I still bleeding?” he said later, as an assistant wiped his injury, then joked: “See how tough I am?”

On Sunday, Green posted pictures of receiving medical treatment after the show, and joked: “Getting my ears pierced.”

The attack on Green follows similar incidents in Melbourne over the past year.

US singer SZA threatened to halt her Rod Laver Arena after fans threw shoes and mobile phones onto the stage. She told the crowd: “I’m a person. That’s crazy”.

Oasis singer Liam Gallagher criticised a fan who threw a flare into the crowd during the band’s show at Docklands.

Rapper Travis Scott stopped his Marvel Stadium show several times during crowd disruptions and objects thrown at the stage.

The incident at Green’s show didn’t sour his night entirely. He thanked the Melbourne crowd for attending the show, and helping his latest album achieve “triple platinum” sales.

Green’s tour rolls on to Sydney and Ipswich this week.

He attended a Brisbane Broncos game in Brisbane last week, and was presented with a team jumper. “My first footy ball game,” he said on Instagram, “Awesome experience.”

US country music star Riley Green ejected a fan from his Melbourne show on Saturday night after being…

[8
2095,64,63,689,651,4428,6982,269029,45501,269027,227833,269030,134,269025,647,17021,269028,673,2041,2067,269026,677,701,2594,269024,670,2909,2614,660,222872
post-543046","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-entertainment","tag-america","tag-au","tag-australia","tag-australia-and-new-zealand","tag-brisbane","tag-brisbane-broncos","tag-country-music","tag-country-music-superstar","tag-country-star","tag-country-star-ejects","tag-court-arena","tag-ejects-fan","tag-entertainment","tag-garbage-frontwoman","tag-melbourne","tag-mobile-phone","tag-music-superstar-sits","tag-new-south-wales","tag-north-america","tag-northern-america","tag-oasis-singer","tag-oceania","tag-queensland","tag-shirley-manson","tag-spin-off-series","tag-sydney","tag-sza","tag-united-states-of-america","tag-victoria","tag-water-bottle
["GET
