{"id":543764,"date":"2026-03-16T09:34:12","date_gmt":"2026-03-16T09:34:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/543764\/"},"modified":"2026-03-16T09:34:12","modified_gmt":"2026-03-16T09:34:12","slug":"irish-man-fights-for-life-at-royal-perth-hospital-gofundme-plea-to-help-family-be-there-for-final-moments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/543764\/","title":{"rendered":"Irish man fights for life at Royal Perth Hospital: GoFundMe plea to help family be there for \u2018final moments\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\"><a class=\"css-445i33-StyledTextLink ezegcyi0\" data-link-type=\"article-inline\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.perthnow.com.au\/wa\/perth\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Perth<\/a> doctors are keeping an Irish man with a devastating brain injury alive, giving his mother the chance to reach Australia to be with her son in his final moments.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Aaron Mulligan, originally from Sligo in Ireland, moved to Perth in 2024 to embark on an exciting new chapter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Heartbreakingly, after recently being involved in a serious road traffic incident which left him in a critical condition, he now has been left with a severe brain injury and is fighting for life at Royal Perth Hospital.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Friends of Aaron\u2019s mum have set up a <a class=\"css-445i33-StyledTextLink ezegcyi0\" data-link-type=\"article-inline\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gofundme.com\/f\/help-a-mother-be-with-her-son-for-his-final-moments\">GoFundMe<\/a> page, to help ease the costs of the journey his family is desperately trying to make, to be by Aaron\u2019s side in his final moments.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">\u201cLike so many young people from Ireland, (Aaron) moved to Australia a few years ago to begin a new chapter in his life.
