Harry Styles<\/a> didn’t hold back with his opening monologue while hosting Saturday Night Live<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The British singer took a swipe at the royal family, mocking Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor<\/a> on live TV during the episode.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 32-year-old singer started the show by poking fun at his “boring” life away from the stage.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“You know what? As a British man who has spent a lot of his life in the public eye, I can assure you there is something nice about being boring,” Styles said.<\/p>\n

“It’s better than the alternative…”<\/p>\n

Suddenly an image of Andrew, 66, flashed up on screen. <\/p>\n

The image was one which made headlines around the world; the former prince in his car after being arrested last month.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Styles grimaced and pretended to loosen his tie.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Harry Styles took a swipe at the former prince, when this image flashed up on screen. (Reuters)<\/p>\n

The former prince was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office<\/a> on February 19 amid accusations he shared confidential documents with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein during his time as a UK trade envoy.<\/p>\n

Andrew<\/a> was \ufeffreleased under investigation and denies any wrongdoing.<\/p>\n

He remains eighth in line to the throne<\/a> but recently the UK government said it was considering introducing legislation to revoke Andrew’s succession rights.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the monologue Styles spoke about his passion for running and claims\u00a0that he is “queerbaiting”.<\/p>\n

“I took up jogging. There’s nothing interesting about that,” he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“But because I am me, people pretend to find that interesting. But I don’t run to be interesting. I do it for the feeling it gives me. That runner’s high.”<\/p>\n

The superstar went on to reference his 2019 hit, Watermelon Sugar and joked, “Runner’s high, Watermelon Sugar high. And if that doesn’t do it for you, I also love ecstasy.”<\/p>\n

Styles, who is dating actress Zoe Kravitz, also addressed claims about his sexuality.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Back then, people seemed to pay a lot of attention to the clothes I was wearing and some people accused me of something called ‘queerbaiting’ \u2013 but did it ever occur to you that maybe you don’t know everything about me, Dad?” he quipped.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Moments later he planted a kiss on comedian Ben Marshall.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Now that’s queerbaiting,” he said to the camera with a wink.\u00a0<\/p>\n
