Jason Ritter appeared as an uncredited clicker<\/a> on The Last of Us when his wife Melanie Lynskey was on the show. But oh how the tables turn, because now she\u2019s dead and he\u2019s been promoted to \u201calive.\u201d Ritter and Patrick Wilson have been announced as new cast members for TLOU season 3<\/a>. According to Deadline<\/a>, Ritter will play Hanley, a Washington Liberation Front soldier. Wilson will play Jerry, the deceased father of Abby (Kaitlyn Deaver). In TLOU season 2, Abby killed Joel (Pedro Pascal) to avenge her dad, setting off the events of the second season. Now in season 3, Ellie (Bella Ramsey) has to decide whether or not to continue the vengeance cycle. Ariela Barer, Tati Gabrielle, and Spencer Lord are also all getting promoted to regular cast.<\/p>\n

The third (and possibly final) season of The Last of Us has been in the works for a while. \u201cI haven\u2019t seen any scripts, but yes, I do expect that,\u201d Ramsey said in May 2025<\/a>. \u201cI think that I\u2019m going to be there, but not a whole bunch. We\u2019ve had conversations about that. I sort of have a rough idea of what it\u2019s going to be, but I can\u2019t tell you.\u201d<\/p>\n
