BOULDER CITY, Nev. – The CSUN Women’s Golf team carded rounds of 312-302 for a two-round total of 614, which has the Matadors in eighth place after two rounds of the Jackrabbits Invitational on Monday at Boulder Creek Golf Club.<\/p>\n

Individually, freshman Sophie Cook<\/a> is\u00a0the low Matador player\u00a0after two rounds,\u00a0posting scores\u00a0of 73-75\u00a0on Monday. Cook, competing as an individual, had five birdies over two rounds and is tied for 18th at 4-over 148. Senior Gracie Piar<\/a> is the low player in the CSUN lineup as she is tied for 25th at 5-over 149. Piar notched a pair of birdies in round one, finishing at 3-over 75 before adding four birdies in a 2-over 74 in the second round.<\/p>\n

At 38-over 614, CSUN is eighth in the 10-team field. UNLV (568), the only team under par,\u00a0carries a nine-shot lead over Morehead State (577) in the team competition.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tFollowing Cook and\u00a0Piar, junior Nicole Tanoue<\/a> is tied for 31st at 7-over 151. Tanoue had three birdies in an opening round 4-over 76, before adding one birdie in round two’s 3-over 75.
\n\tSenior\u00a0Kim Turgut<\/a>\u00a0opened with a 10-over 82 in the opening round, before recording three birdies in round two to finish at 3-over 75. Turgut finished the day tied for 46th with teammate Lily McGowan<\/a>. McGowan had a pair of birdies in round one, finishing at 7-over 79, before posting a 6-over 78 in round two.
\n\tMeghan Paracuelles<\/a>\u00a0rounded out the CSUN scoring, currently in 61st place at 25-over 169\u00a0following rounds of 83-86. <\/p>\n
