{"id":546722,"date":"2026-03-17T18:46:12","date_gmt":"2026-03-17T18:46:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/546722\/"},"modified":"2026-03-17T18:46:12","modified_gmt":"2026-03-17T18:46:12","slug":"jamie-bhatti-bath-sign-glasgow-scotland-prop-for-next-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/546722\/","title":{"rendered":"Jamie Bhatti: Bath sign Glasgow &#038; Scotland prop for next season"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Glasgow Warriors and Scotland prop Jamie Bhatti will return to Bath next season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The 32-year-old loosehead played 11 games for the Blue, Black and Whites as injury cover after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/sport\/rugby-union\/55395847\" class=\"ssrcss-18834jl-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">joining them from Edinburgh<\/a> in December 2020 until the end of that season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">After that spell he returned to Glasgow, where he began his career, and was part of Warriors&#8217; United Rugby Championship triumph in 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Bhatti, who won the last of his 36 Scotland caps against England in the 2025 Six Nations, has signed a two-year deal at Bath until the end of the 2027-28 season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Director of rugby Johann van Graan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bathrugby.com\/content\/bhatti-makes-return-to-bath\" class=\"ssrcss-18834jl-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">told the club website: , external<\/a>&#8220;He comes from a winning environment with Test experience and has become a very good ball-carrier.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;His determination to become a better player is evident and we are looking forward to welcoming him into our Bath family.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Bhatti added: &#8220;I&#8217;m incredibly honoured to be given the opportunity to join Bath Rugby.
