BLANCHARD Racing Team drivers James Golding<\/a> and Aaron Cameron<\/a> will reunite with Garry Rogers<\/a> Motorsport in a new arena.<\/p>\n

The duo will join James Moffat<\/a> in a three-pronged GRM effort at the Mustang Cup Australia opener next week at Phillip Island.<\/p>\n

Golding rose up through the ranks at GRM from Super2 into the Supercars Championship, and later raced for the team in both S5000 and Trans Am. Cameron meanwhile was a mainstay for several seasons in TCR and S5000 machinery.<\/p>\n

GRM will roll out its most iconic race numbers for the occasion on March 27-29.<\/p>\n

\u201cBarry (Rogers) called me and asked if I would do Mustang Cup, and I wasn\u2019t sure to start, but when he said that I was going to be the #33, that was enough for me. I said yes straight away,\u201d said Cameron, who will be armed with a brand-new Dark Horse R.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo race the #33 for GRM is the ultimate. A lot of cool drivers have raced with that, including Scott McLaughlin, Garth Tander<\/a>, Lee Holdsworth<\/a> and even Jamie Whincup<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was the drawcard for me. I\u2019ve raced with GRM in TCR and S5000, but never with #33. That is GRM\u2019s number and I\u2019m honoured to have my name alongside it.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving Jimmy and Moff in the team is also really cool. It\u2019s going to be a great reunion.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Dark Horse Rs are simple, production car style, and I can already see that it\u2019s going to be a fun weekend, racing with mates.\u201d<\/p>\n

Golding meanwhile will run #34 as he did for two full main game seasons.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s really cool to team up with GRM in the all-new Mustang Cup category at Phillip Island,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese cars look great. They aren\u2019t far away from the production car, but have all the right racing gear that should make the racing close and competitive.<\/p>\n

\u201cFord is clearly putting in a big effort across the motorsport world, and I am proud to represent such a respected brand.<\/p>\n

\u201cAny opportunity I get to drive a Ford, I take without thinking about it. Ford\u2019s initiative to find the next crop of young talent though the Mustang Cup is a fantastic opportunity for all up-and-coming drivers in Australia.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd it is always a privilege to go racing with the GRM team. The crew there are like family to me so it will be nice to slot back into the fold.\u201d<\/p>\n

Golding will race the Dark Horse R that has been at the centre of promotional activities during the past year.<\/p>\n

Other big names in the field will include Triple Eight\/SCT co-driver Jack Perkins<\/a>.<\/p>\n
