TEMPE, Ariz. \u2013 In the latest ITA National Poll publication, the UIndy men’s tennis team was ranked eighteenth, it was announced Wednesday, March 18.<\/p>\n
The Greyhounds are coming off their third ranked win of the season at the Scenic City Classic, where they took down No. 12 North Georgia. Overall, the Hounds sit at 7-4 on the season, and hold the second highest ITA ranking within the Midwest Region.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Individually, the Greyhounds had three players ranked in singles, and two doubles pairings listed within the top 50. Asier Ayllon Prado<\/a> maintained his No. 7 national ranking in singles, with two ranked singles wins inside his 13-5 overall record in singles. Tadeo Gaggiofatto<\/a> was listed at No. 21, also holding two ranked singles wins and a 13-5 overall record. Vladislav Gorbatenko<\/a> rounds UIndy’s representation in singles, holding down the No. 72 spot.\u00a0<\/p>\n In doubles, Ayllon Prado and Mathieu Derache<\/a> were named the No. 32 pair, sporting a 7-1 clip. Gaggiofatto and Zaid Shelbaya<\/a> were listed at No. 43, with a 7-4 mark.\u00a0<\/p>\n The Hounds will compete next Wednesday, March 25th, against No. 19 Tiffin at 3 PM.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
