The natural-color scene is overlaid with infrared observations to highlight the lava\u2019s heat signature. On that day, the\u00a0Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology\u00a0(PHIVOLCS) reported volcanic earthquakes, rockfalls, and hot clouds of ash and debris called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usgs.gov\/programs\/VHP\/pyroclastic-flows-move-fast-and-destroy-everything-their-path\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">pyroclastic flows<\/a>.
