Dennis pleaded guilty in to an aggravated charge of creating likelihood of harm over the death and was handed a 17-month prison term, suspended on a two-year good-behaviour bond. <\/p>\n
The 35-year-old was also given a five-year ban from driving.<\/p>\n

South Australian Victims\u2019 Rights Commissioner Sarah Quick said Dennis\u2019 Instagram caption reflected \u201ca profound lack of respect for Melissa and her family\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is a deeply offensive comment that demonstrates a clear lack of insight into the real and lasting impact of the harm he has caused,\u201d Quick said.<\/p>\n
Dennis has posted twice more on his Instagram since Wednesday evening.<\/p>\n
He shared a picture of his children with the caption: \u201ctwo absolute weapons\u201d.
The second was CCTV footage of Channel 7\u2019s news crews asking him questions.<\/p>\n
