In a scary blow for the Dragons rising forward Loko Pasifiki Tonga has been taken to Wollongong hospital for precautionary scans after he suffered a neck injury at training. <\/p>\n

Code Sports<\/a> reported Pasifiki Tonga was running the football during a session on Thursday and remained on the ground after an ordinary tackle. <\/p>\n

The 20-year-old star, who was on an extended bench for the Dragons\u2019 clash with the Eels on Sunday, indicated a potential neck issue.<\/p>\n

The Dragons took the precautionary measures with an ambulance transporting Pasifiki Tonga <\/p>\n

to hospital where he will undergo further scans.<\/p>\n

Pasifika Tonga scored one try in 10 games after making his NRL debut last year, but has been unable to play first grade yet this season. <\/p>\n

\u201cSt George Illawarra Dragons forward Loko Pasifiki Tonga was taken to hospital for precautionary scans following a suspected neck injury sustained at training today,\u201d the club said in a statement. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe was conscious and communicating with medical staff at all times.<\/p>\n

The club will provide an update on his condition once further information becomes available.\u201d <\/p>\n
