It appeared that the Denver Broncos<\/a> had made their first outside signing of free agency on Wednesday evening, but the news was apparently a false alarm.<\/p>\n Yanni Tragellis of WKRC-TV in Cincinnati tweeted that Cincinnati Bengals<\/a> free agent safety Tycen Anderson told him he’s signing a one-year deal<\/a> with the Broncos. Moments later, James Rapien of BengalsTalk.com reported the same news<\/a>.<\/p>\n A few hours after those initial reports, however, Parker Gabriel of the Denver Post tweeted that the Broncos have not reached an agreement<\/a> with Anderson, and a source told Gabriel a deal between the team and safety was \u201cnowhere close.\u201d Rapien then wrote a follow-up story<\/a> that said the safety told him he remains an unsigned free agent.<\/p>\n Signing the 26-year-old defensive back for special teams contributions and safety depth might still be an option for Denver, but a deal hasn’t been agreed to \u2014 at least not yet.
