A second teenager has died after falling during a hike on Queensland\u2019s Mt Beerwah, with loved ones describing him as an \u201cadventurous spirit\u201d.<\/p>\n
Lorielle Russell, 18, and Jack Thatcher, 18, died after they fell up to 100m during their descent of the slippery summit following rain on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Ms Russell died at the scene, while Mr Thatcher was flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.<\/p>\n
He was on life support until he died on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Four other hikers needed help but were able to make their way safely from the mountain and did not require medical treatment.<\/p>\n
On an online fundraiser for Mr Thatcher\u2019s family, organiser Ryan Orbell described him as an \u201cadventurous spirit\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cJack was … simply enjoying his life in the great outdoors with his friends,\u201d Mr Orbell wrote.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you can please help this beautiful family with any amount of contribution, it will help to ease some of the extra burden on the family during this terrible and horrific time.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll funds raised will be provided to the family of Jack Thatcher to assist with all of their seen and unseen expenses as required.\u201d<\/p>\n
In an update on Wednesday, Mr Orbell wrote: \u201cJack\u2019s spirit, his sense of adventure and the joy he brought to others is being felt so strongly through the stories, messages and memories being shared across social media pages.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThey are a beautiful reflection of the impact he had on everyone around him. He will never be forgotten,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

On a separate fundraiser page for Ms Russell, organiser Katrina Davis this week shared an image of a single rose painted by the 18-year-old woman.<\/p>\n
