Jenna Bush Hager shut down emotionally after her Today show cohost Hoda Kotb left the program earlier this year.<\/p>\n

Bush Hager, 43, explained to guest host Matt Rogers during the Friday, August 8, episode of Today With Jenna and Friends that she cries \u201call the time\u201d because \u201cI\u2019m a Sagittarius.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI do it so often that it\u2019s just like laughing,\u201d she said. \u201cThey\u2019re like, \u2018Here Jenna goes again.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite her tendency to show her feelings, Bush Hager shared that she \u201cstopped\u201d crying so often after Kotb, 60, exited the Today show<\/a> in January.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy heart was kind of closed off,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Kotb announced her plans to leave<\/a> her Today show role in September 2024, with Bush Hager breaking down in tears on the air at the time.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re who I come to when I\u2019m feeling joyful, when I\u2019m feeling unsure. You are who I come to and you believed in me first,\u201d she gushed. \u201cWe have a lot of bosses and I love them, but this lady, on October 28, 2013 \u2014 I looked it up \u2014 said, \u2018Hey, wanna come sit next to me? There\u2019s room.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

During Kotb\u2019s final episode in January, Bush Hager once again cried while expressing her love for her cohost.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you, Hoda, for everything you have taught me, everything you\u2019ve given me, all the hugs, all the heart, all the laughs, all the love,\u201d she raved in a video message. \u201cI will miss you, my friend, but I love you and I\u2019m so proud. Love always and forever, Jenna.\u201d<\/p>\n

After 17 years, Kotb exited the Today show to spend more time with her family and pursue new ventures.<\/p>\n

Bush Hager, who officially joined the series as Kotb\u2019s cohost in 2019, continues to helm the fourth hour of the Today show, with a rotating lineup of guest hosts filling in since Kotb\u2019s departure.<\/p>\n
