Barry Keoghan<\/a> has discussed working on the forthcoming Beatles<\/a> biopic, describing his co-stars as \u201cbrothers\u201d.<\/p>\n

The Irish actor will play Ringo Starr<\/a> in four simultaneously released biopics scheduled for release in 2028. Sam Mendes will direct all four films, one for each member of the band. Keoghan is joined by Paul Mescal<\/a> as Paul McCartney<\/a>, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison<\/a>, and Harris Dickinson as John Lennon<\/a>. Recently, the first official images of the actors in character were released.<\/a><\/p>\n

While appearing on Sirius XM\u2019s The Julia Cunningham Show, the unique format of the films was discussed and the star was enthusiastic about his time filming. \u201cIt\u2019s going to be an event and you know and we knew that coming on board\u201d he said. \u201cWhat an exciting event to be part of, and no better filmmaker to do it than Sam, you know, so I\u2019m having an absolute fucking brilliant time and elevating my craft and, you know, making brothers as well on set.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Keoghan was on the show promoting his new film, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man<\/a>, which is on Netflix from today. He also discussed another hit film of his, 2023\u2019s Saltburn<\/a>, and how the infamous scene featuring Sophie Ellis Bextor\u2019s<\/a> \u2018Murder On The Dancefloor\u2019 has followed him around. \u201cThey played it three times at the Vanity Fair (Oscars party)\u201d he recalled. \u201cI was like, \u2018Okay. We get it.\u2019 Honestly, three times. You know, I was like, \u2018What are they doing?\u2019\u201d.<\/p>\n

Last month, Barry Keoghan compared playing Tommy Shelby\u2019s son in the Peaky Blinders movie to playing Simba in The Lion King<\/a>. \u201cHonestly!\u201d he said to Empire Magazine. \u201cThe Lion King was one of the ones that, for me, had that animalistic, father and son approach to it.\u201d<\/p>\n
